Prescription Drugs
There are no special requirements for documentation to support standard prescription drugs - including Insulin.
You may though benefit from having a photocopy of your prescription from the prescribing Doctor if you are travelling through countries where border formalities are difficult.
Taking Controlled Drugs from the UK
If have a medical condition that requires you to take any form of
controlled drugs then you will need a
Special Export License.
How to apply :
Your prescribing doctor - normally your GP - needs to fax the "
Home Office Drugs Unit" - 0207 - 2732157 with the following information :
- Date of Travel
- How long away
- Your Name, Address, Date of Birth
- Which drug you require a license for
- Quantity of drug
