day protection for first aiders etc., wherever and whenever they are
practising their skill of immediate care."

- Members have their own medical insurance of £250,000 against malpractice claims which will be active at all times unless otherwise covered
- The Lloyds underwritten policy covers any skill that a member has been certified as competent to practice. This includes IV infusion, intubation, defribillation, ECG monitoring and cardiac and diabetic drug therapy etc.
- By receiving their own personal copy of "MIR NEWS", members are to be kept up to date with what is happening within the world of "immediate care". The publication includes information on new techniques, HSE / EMAS directives, products and current news from around the world
- The membership 'package' incudes ID card/badge, membership certificate, Lloyds evidence of insurance and the quarterly newsletter "MIR News"
